• middle age woman with dark curly hair walks on stormy beach

“My daughter went to wilderness therapy and is now at a young adult transition program so I want to connect with women who are experiencing the same thing as me.”

  • middle aged male on couch with laptop looking stressed

"I'm looking for ways to set and hold firm boundaries with my son who's using weed every day."

  • “I’m looking for support and encouragement, plus help with self-care. I’ve lost a lot of myself during the past few years with two teen boys who struggle with substance use.”

  • middle age man looking pensive at his laptop computer

“I need connection to people who understand this roller coaster, and a place to be real.”

“I never imagined I’d be here…”

I felt the same way, and you’re not alone.

I created the gathering space for parents of children struggling with substance misuse and mental health challenges. The lifeline that brings parents from crisis mode to a more stable, informed, and healthier place.

This happens in a safe and private online hub centered around education, wellness, and connection called Hopestream Community.

about the kids we love

Our children are simultaneously beautiful and challenging.

They’re brilliant and clever and struggle to direct their immense talent in positive ways. When healthy, they’ll change the world.

Currently, they may look something like this;

  • teens or college-aged kids who are experimenting with or dependent on marijuana and alcohol

  • adolescents and young adults misusing substances like Xanax, Percocet, Fentanyl, cocaine, Kratom, LSD or heroin

  • a young person on the autism spectrum struggling with social anxiety, gender identity, or executive functioning

  • kids refusing high school or failing college due to substance use, depression, or anxiety

  • teens who’ve developed eating disorders or engage in self-harm in addition to misusing substances

  • young people who identify as LGBTQ+ and are misusing drugs or alcohol

  • a teen or young adult who’s experienced an unintentional overdose or has thoughts of suicide

  • adolescents or young people in wilderness therapy, therapeutic boarding school, or residential treatment programs

  • young people transitioning to step-down houses, sober living, or in early recovery
